Cross Country

Week of Oct 15 Update:

Wow!  What a great day for Blythwood.  Our Bulldogs did an awesome job representing our school. Congratulations to everyone!

Those children in grades 4-6 who placed in the top 20 will compete at the City Finals on Thursday, October 24 at Centennial Park in Etobicoke. If you placed in the top 20 please continue to practice.

Please note that parents will be responsible for transporting their child(ren) to / from the City Finals Meet.

An e-mail with full meet details will be sent within the next few days to all families with a runner who has qualified for the next meet. We do expect that additional runners will qualify once we know how our teams placed.

For planning purposes, races will start at 10 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. (we will confirm start time once we receive information from meet convenors) with grade 4 girls followed by grade 4 boys, grade 5 girls, grade 5 boys ….

Upcoming 8:00 a.m. practices are as follows:

Thursday, October 17
Monday, October 21
Tuesday, October 22

We will not be doing a formal walk through of the City Final course.  A course map will be sent out so that families can choose to preview the course on their own if they choose.

Sadly, the season has ended for our grade1, 2, and 3 runners. We will see you at our celebration party on November 1.

Email Vanessa Bennett at for any questions about the Cross Country program.
